You may have seen the popular live entertainment option of having a Live Wedding Painter at your wedding day or special event. It’s all over social media, and thousands of couples have already signed up to have a Live Wedding Painting for their big day! You might be thinking of having a Live Painter too, but don’t know where to start looking. There are so many different styles and types of Live Wedding Paintings and in this article I’m going to run through what they are!

Or maybe you were lucky enough to attend a wedding where a Live Wedding Painter was present and went home holding your very own special guest painting! Either way, Live Wedding Painting has become a very popular and in demand part of a wedding day, and many couples are desperate to have their own unique masterpiece to remember their special day by.

As I don't live anywhere near Staffordshire, and needed to be at the venue bright and early, I had to stay overnight the night before at a nearby B&B. I usually do this when I have a venue that's further than 2 hours away from me (that's my cut off driving time). Unfortunately it wasn't a particularly great place to stay so I won't link it here to recommend it to others, but it allowed me to have a good rest ready for the day ahead. I know other wedding suppliers and vendors who literally buy converted vans to sleep in, to cut down costs when travelling and working, but I'd rather stick to B&Bs, hotels and Airbnbs for now!

Recently, I had the most amazing experience doing a live wedding painting for my newlywed couple, Corey and Artika, at the stunning Cotswold venue in Cheltenham - Manor by The Lake !

Doing live wedding painting or live guest portraits in the UK can be a different experience to live painting in other countries. The main difference being... the weather!  Here are a few tips and tricks I have picked up while painting at UK weddings, hopefully they'll be helpful to you - whether you are the one getting married, or a live wedding painter yourself!
