Hi I'm Chloe, I'm a wedding painter!
I recently had an amazing time doing live guest portraits in Istanbul
I'd never been to Turkey before and this was my first destination wedding, so it was so exciting to get to do live wedding painting abroad! The couple wanted both a large scale live wedding painting on canvas and individual illustrations for their guests, so I had a busy day.
I started the large scale live painting first and mapped out all of the details of the couple, their pose and a location with the beautiful Bosporus in the background. After that, I got started on the live guest paintings!
This was a Pakistani wedding and all of the guests' wedding outfits were stunning. They had so many beautiful colours and embroidery details for me to use an inspiration in their guest portraits.
As the guests were eating, I was able to get to work on their live wedding illustrations, and it was so lovely to see their excited reactions when they came over to see the finished product! The wedding paintings were a big hit, and I know that this beautiful wedding will be talked about for a long time.
